His Holiness convenes Chakrasamvara Drubchen at Rinchenling Monastery

His Holiness at Rinchenling MonasteryFrom October 29 to 31, the preparatory puja for the Chakrasamvara Drubchen was conducted at the main temple of the newly built Rinchenling Monastery in Nayapati, Nepal. On November 1, the main practice of the Chakrasamvara puja was performed. On the full-moon day of November 2, the consecration or initiation puja for the newly built monastery was accomplished; His Holiness along with all the monks went around the monastery and the shrine-halls and gave the initiation and blessings.  Many monks and nuns attended, as well as numerous foreigners who participated in the Chakrasamvara Drubchen.

His Holiness conducting the DrubchenDuring this weeklong Chakrasamvara Drubchen, every morning during the first session the practice of self-generation of Chakrasamvara was performed. During the second session the generation of the vase mandala was practiced, while the third session consisted in the visualization practice of Chakrasamvara. After lunch during the fourth session, the Chakrasamvara initiation and consecration was conducted and during the fifth session the concluding puja of the Chakrasamvara Drubchen was carried out.

Meanwhile, the fire puja was conducted for four consecutive days by the retreatants from Lapchi, Nepal, headed by the Dorzin Dondrup Palden. Each day the direction for the fire puja was changed and moved from East to South, and West to North. His Holiness Drikung Kyabgön Chetsang kindly offered a traditional wooden cup for tea to every retreatant.

His Holiness dissolving the sand mandalaOn November 4, on the final day of the Drubchen, the puja for dissolution of the sand mandala was performed. His Holiness and all the monks lined up in a ceremonial procession towards the water spring and offered the sand mandala. Finally the Chakrasamvara Drubchen was well accomplished and everyone present was very happy to have participated in this wonderful Drubchen.
